Putting a ridiculous expensive anti air system as main defense at the front is just an absolute waste and insane. Such a system ist not made for operating alone, because it is defenseless against most of the weaponry. It will be just cannonfodder. Something like patriot is made for a small amount of very few high value air targets and must be defened by other anti air and others systems, which take care of the rest, especially everything that will go after the patriot.

Russia does not need "snakes in the grass". It can SEE what you are doing there on the battlefield and the whole country and it also got military intelligence which even listens to NATO. Not even talking about how the Nazis bragged about doing all that long before it started, so if anything the leaders of the regime and NATO are the "snakes".
