  1. Was alread one of the reason they failed between 2014 and 2022. They had more forces and more and better equipment, but constantly went into these traps. It's likely that anyone who mentioned that on the coup regime's side simply lost their position (or life).

  2. "Tying up Russian forces" also simply ignores how much of the coup regime's forces are tied up there... Such a strategy only works out if you use way less forces than the enemy or threaten something of most importance - like Russia did when they sent those few thousands soldiers to Kiev. Since Kiev is the capitol, the coup regime HAD TO react to that. Of course some few thousand soldiers would not be able to take over a city the size of Kiev, but it's way to important to not focus most of your forces to defend it. Meanwhile Kursk is just some open field and villages and it binds at least as many coup regime forces as Russian ones, so what's the point?
