Russia is constantly in "offensive", people just don't get that this is not like in a videogame, where you do a tank rush to the enemy base. Russia is using an offensive defense: it's constantly bombarding the enemy from fortified lines and dose not have to move for that at all. The clashes you see on the internet a scout units, who are send there for examle to steet up the enemy or in cases of flanking/encirclement, to put pressure on the enemy's logistics, but the actual frontline still stays where it is.
