First ridiculous mistake is to think, that Russia storms in like in a medieval charge. People don't get it: what you see on those videos at the front are MAINLY scout units. The vast amount of heavily armed forced stays far behind that. When you got some tanks charge in, that is for forcing the enemy to react, what will be observed and than those heavily armed units behind all that take that under fire. Infantery units can also try to take some area, but this again is mainly to steer the enemy.
