  2. Such first layer of a defense line, which exists to slow down an attacking enemy, is pretty pointless anyway when you lack the major defenseline with all the artillery, missiles system, aviation and so on.

  3. There is nothing four dimensional about it. What you see in strategy and tactics the usual, the biggest hick-ups simply utter delusion about made up goals. Most surprising thing is, how the NATO side and their puppets are utterly unwilling or -able to learn and constantly repeat especially two devastating mistsakes: 1. To run in, just to get flanked. 2. To not retreat when necessary and instead get encircled. Both problems leading to the most horrific situations you can be in.
