@GROK-665 Unlikely, alpha and beta radiation is absorbed by pretty much everything and something like that will of course not have the radioactive material on the outside. This said, the radiation will still damage the 'battery' itself and destroy it over time.

It's simply to not fall for that, since material is not magic, there simply will never be a material that produces insane amount of energies by just existing and the biggest energy mass can produce is alreadya known via ripping it apart (fission) or combining it(fusion) and what amount of energy in that material you can get out of this. The obvious stay the same: we got a nuclear reaction the size of a sune right next to us: the sun. That's the energy we must use. Everything else is at best and will always be scrapping for leftovers if we don't end up in fantasy world somehow.
