  1.  @Dan-nj8du  Just producing heat doesn't help, you also have to be able to use it. Fusion won't work like a battery, even if you are able to start the process on room temperature level, you will still produce heat, handle this heat and of course transform it into something useable.

  2.  @Alondro77  Meanwhile the desperate struggle agaist using the sheer endless fusion energy we already got and are showered in, free energy indeed, raining down from the sky. But that's likely the main problem, hard to make profit with free energy rain. The try, but as greedy is: it will always want much more.

  3. Well, you SHOULD look at all three and then see what is possible. Likely not all three, yes, at least not to the max. Especially not when the "faster" is about the the time you got to finish it.

  4. Would have probably helped the whole thematic a lot if they wouldn't have exaggerated it so much. The whole idea is, that you reduce the energy needed to start the fusion, what in itself isn't a stupid idea at all, but by going to the max and pretty much saying, that you just put some stuff together and then it will start the fusion process on room temperature, that went way too far. If somehow sometimes, when we are less stupid than today and know a bit more about how the universe really works beside some desperaet tries to put some mathematic formulas on it we could reach this: wonderful. But you don't start at the finish line. The whole Cold Fusion thing is the same as the Fusion thing: work on making it possible in the first place outside of a star with its extreme parameters that would simply turn this planet to stardust. And voila: it would look way more scientific with much better reputation.

  5. Cosmic rays? Just take the sun. It's bombading earth wit insane amount of energy, endlessly, up to the day it will swallow this planet and end it. It's literally endless energy for free.

  6. The thing is, that flight was obviously always possible. The Cold Fusion extreme is more the idea that people could just flap their arms and fly.
