@SakasaHigure A lot of our DNA evolution is just trial and error and while obviously survives what works somehow, this is still dominated by randomness. A certain mutation might have worked better and by that was the winning one - but this is only about one or few points, while all the not so good parts are dragged along. Humans overall just canceled their evolution anyway, which is mainly driven by death of the "unfit". Nature is more the fascist than the communist, "cull the subhumans". With medicine and all those other helps, including mundane things like glasses, anyone can survive and reproduce, driven by totally different means than the "best survivor", especially when looking at how human science simply remodels their surrounding, by that just canceling the death game (replacing it with a totally different one, because humans suck). Anyway, going further at some point we either degenerate from that or we take our evolution into our own hands - what would be the same for alien life. If alien life is that super advanced that they can travel through space just like that, they very likely also mastered these parts - what is even more likely to make space travel possible in the first place, since space sucks for life, it's just hell, only worse.

Even on earth most life does not look like humans at all with partly super weird stuff. And intelligence doesn't have much to do with the form.

The thing is, that something so advances that it can travel through space as it pleases could easily overcome all biological means. Also: we got the usual ignorance humans show in all their short history, that were are absolutely certain that we have understood eversthing know or at least, what we know is certainly true and absolutely how the universe works. Even more funny is, when you look at most science and oh so often it's more a "well, we looked at it and now got this formula that works pretty well, even though we got no real clue why - oh and the formula also tells us, that there are magical space particles we can't see, hear or detect in any way."

@picksalot1 I mean all life on earth likely goes back to one source, spreading out from that and just mutating in different ways. So that's not really the point. We overall still can't explain how life came into existence in the first place. And no, evolution doesn't explain that at all. Evolution only tells us that life, well, evolves, it doesn't stay the same. That's all, nothing more. No explanation how dust turns to life doesn't exist.

@Ken00001010 Alien life could simply not care to search for others, especially not enough to go through those billions of stars. Or they have found us but don't care for any contact and no one would blame them seeing how stupid humans are.
