In contrats to the ridiculous fake show Space X with it's hardcore fake promises of life on Mars, Blue Origin is about to be part in creating the way to space for humankind, that's the idea behind it. As Bezos explained, he could only do Amazon because so many before him created the infrastructure he was able to use for it and he thinks that humans will at on point go beyond earth (in general, not just with some few people and machines) and simply wants to try doing his part in pushing this forward by working on ideas and steps toward a future infrastructure to space. It's insane how people lick Musk's lying, cheating ass, while they hate on Bezos, typical small brain moment.

And the Karman line is used as border to outer space, while, yes, still wide inside all the fields of earth, everything beyond would be far more risky in every way.
