  1.  @katiek.8808  Socialism was never even tried. You had some elemenst here and there like health care and education for everyone - and that never failed. But that's not socialism, it's more social elements. Socialism means, that you got no oligarchs, no plutocrats, that your economy isn't owned and ruled by a few ultra rich families, but that it serves the whole society. That's why it is called SOCIAlism.

The words itself is smearing that pretty much in your face, beause it comes from the greek word "societas" = society. It's the economical part of democracy. You are against socialism = you are against democracy. Even worse, because the control of the economy is FAR more important than all thepolitical stuff, because people NEED the economy to survive.

  4. Right IS the whole class thing! Hell! What do you people think left and right means? Left = egalitarian, all humans are equal in worth and rights. Right = elitism, humans are not equal, but are seperated in classes with the upper classes ruling over the lower classes and exploit them, all as some kind of divine right.

Look at the second comment here, the guy coming up with "america divided by race, gender, class, feelings". You can be 99% sure that he thinks that this is leftism, while it's the opposite. How does he come to that absurd idea? Because right wing propaganda told him so, pushing him away from the side that stands for general human rights and dragging him toward slavery. And no, this is not about Dems vs Reps - they are both right wing extremists. The whole show of the Dems to be called leftists is one of the main tools of that distraction. You simply got no choice in your system. That's the whole point of it. And all the sparkles around it are just their to make you accept that.

  14. Democracy = radical leftist principle. Leftists because this stands for all humans are equal of worth and rights, what you need for a democracy as basis and radical because radical, that comes from the greek word "root", means, that it is "rooted" on that principle, build upon this base. Oligarchy = radical right wing. Right because this stands for elitism, that humans are not equal and that an upper class is ruling over the lower classes. What do peopel think that left and right means? Strong and weak state? That makes no sense. Why should a brutal right wing state be weak? And when you take something like communism: this is absolutely about a weak if not even non-existing state. But I guess this comes from the idea the right wing neoliberalisms (what got nothing to do with liberalism by the way) is pushing, wanting a "weak state" and all. But the thing is: they want a weak state so they can exploit it. And guess what "state" stands for in a democracy with focus on a government? It stands for what the people voted for. So in such a system going for a weak state simply means, that they want that the influence of the people is weak, so they can make all the decisions and control everyone. As said: left and right got nothing to do with how strong a state is.

  16. That's not possible. The whole point of left and right is, that they are absolute opposites. You literally say something on the level that slaveholders and slaves must unite. Or that the monarchists and the human right activists must join forrces. That CAN'T happen, because as long as one side is fighting FOR general human rights and the other side is absolutely AGAINST it - how shall this work? The only way for this to work is left ceasing to be left and join the right wingers and give up on human rights or the right ceases to exist by giving up on their class system and how the 'strong' shall rule over the 'weak'.

Sound at best like the idea that the right will just give up, while in reality it would just work as it does now = the right wings and rules, while the left can stand there and demonstrate for something it will never get, because it made the mistake to go along with the oppressor and the system he created. If you put a pacifist and a warmonger into a room and say, they shall work together, it's more than unlikely that the pacifist will win, since the warmonger can just use all kind of violence and manipulation, while the pacifist can only use reason, what the warmonger obviously gives a fuck about.
