Nothing new. I mean, FPP2 masks ALWAYS had the clear warning with it, that they don't work against viruses. All the time before covid that was more than clear. There ARE masks which work IF worn correctly (what near to no one did anyway), but those would be quite the nightmare to wear and not healthy at all, especially not for already ill people.

Reason for that is, that a virus will also invade via the eyes for example. But this aside, FFP2 masks never worked against a virus. They just abolished that fact - like they love to do with all others when it fits their greed.
