Western allies never had a real problem with fascism, especially not those in america. They pretty much went in to SAVE Nazism from being crushed by the soviets. Majority of Nazis were not only kept alive, but in power and even given new careers - including in NATO. Oh no, the only surprise is, how openly stupid they do it this time. But they likely think: Hey, the majority is so brainwashed by us meanwhile, they will eat any shit. And be fair: this will have ZERO consequences for any of them. So they are right.
