  2. Don't get why people make such a big myth ouf of these tariffs. Trump tries to use the the 'power' of the USA to force companies who wants to sell in the USA to produce inside the USA. If this works - well, some countries are very dependent on such sells, others are not. For example China does really not care much if they sell things to the USA or not. Others simply do not trade much with the USA or could just sell their to other countries. Other western countries got a bigger problem, especially thanks to being such lap dog toward the USA and having pissed of the rest of the world a lot. Europe got borderline no resources and is by that alone in a pretty bad position in general, while it may try to forge an alliance with the weak but resource rich Canada. Question is, how the USA will react to this - could be that the next regime change is in Canada in that case...
