  1. Overall it does not make much sense as a serious attempt. I wonder, especially when the equipment seems to be old, if it's just bait/distraction. You send im some old units, only driven by a single person (if not remote controlled, you can do that these days), to catch the focus of the enemy on this. A serious attempt to creaet a bridge there while enemy is clear in range with artillery and alike seems awfully pointless. The idea was, that Russia does not want to shoot at the artillery, because - as good Nazis and warcrimnals as they are - they hide inside the town again. But what's the point? You want to sacrifice massive amounts of soldiers by storming that thing with infantery?
