  1. Democracy doesn't work at all with parties and elections. You simply get the despotism of the biggest minority which will mainly be formed by brutal manipulation and lies. Most western countries got mainly right wing = elitist = anti democratic parties, which use their media and lies to tell peopel that voting for them is the right thing to do. And the lies go so far that some of those right wing parties even sell themselves as leftists and talk about left wing talking points, but of course never follow them. Germany greens and the social democratic party are outstanding example for that. Neolibs (= plutocrats = right wing) and warmongers, talking about nature but doing nothing about it, talking about peace but doing the opposite, talking about social security, but doing the opposite. On the "other side" stand the traditional right wingers - doing the usual to openly talk against such things or even worse just blame the weakest and the minorities for everything. This show is enough to trick the majority of people, many don't even vote again, because shit shitshow of course doesn't lead anywhere and the small smart ones aren't enough to give actual democratic parties enough votes to do anything. And all of this is ON PURPOSE. Elections can't be democratic, when the majority of possible and media pushed choices are anti democratic = against the needs of the people, against human rights, against peace.

  2.  @imbonkers3629  Even less democratic than a bunch of fake parties who hate democracy is just having two parties. You want democracy? Make ONE party - and then elections are all about the politics. When you make two, those two parties will give you a big show, like the USA, while not giving any choice, espacially no democratic one.
