  1. As said, do they want to sink Crimea? Because it lies pretty much in the center of Black Sea and Russia can easily control the Black Sea from there without any ship.

  2. Snake Island wouldn't help, but with the range of Russian missiles, thye can just control the whoel Black Sea from Crimea.
