  1. That idea to attack south to cut through the landbridge is so insane. It would be an absolute horrendous position to get in, a slaughter. The way they talk about it sounds like they think this is just some kind of band you cut through, then it snaps back, unrepairable - instead of walking into enemy territory and putting yourself into a cauldron you will be completely unable to hold up and just get stomped. On top of that: that's so obvious and the talk so long about it, that of course Russia will be prepared for it as one of many possibilities.
