  1. You lose a war when you lose your army (no matter what way). You don't lose a war by losing area. it can have an impact, if the area is important for keeping up your army or alike - what isn't the case at all regading Kharkov, in contrary. When it comes to military importance, Kharkov is a burden. A burden now dragging down the Nazis.

An accident still makes more sense when it comes to the Moskva (and no, accidents like these happen all the time, the USA just lost a much bigger and newer ship some years ago to fire - in its homeport!) They clearly only got this one shot (since no other followed) and waste it in such a stupid way on an almost half a century old ship that wasn't even part of the offensive? Hell, if it was really sunk by an attack, it was an absolute stupid one...
