  1. Never has been. A single thought is enough for that: Who should even WANT to conquer USA or even less Europe? Europe got near to nothing worth to conquer. And the majority of what the USA got left is coal and wood. Fertile soil you can find in many other parts. And technology you just buy or copy, you don't conquer a country for that. Money is worthless and would crash with a war anyway. NATO has always been createad to continue the world wide pillaging of European countries - and you can add the american countries to that, since it's not that natives of america who created and lead those.
