There isn't really much you can do in such a case. This isn't like the years before, when the western terrorist armies fought against Syrian army which needed help to defeat that monstrous alliance, but inner corruption or whatever made Syria just fall apart. So Iran or Russia would have to completely step in via an Invasion, what is far beyond what they want to do for something like Syria. Overall: it's very questionable that this will help the west or Israel. It's just the usual what we saw from them over and over again and it always came back to bite them in the ass.
