Not really a surprise. This looks like a false flag anyway. 1. Israel was warned but did nothing. 2. In contrary, when you look how little up to no resistance Hamas had and that festival was put there right at the border just days ago (a very odd location anyway) 3a. Hamas attacked the illegal wall. 3b. Hamas attacked the illegal military camps. 3c. Hamas took hostages. 3d? Hamas randomly slaughtered civilians? Since many settlers are armed and all, it's not unlikely that there was casualties and it's also possible that some Hamas fighters are so full of hate against the settler who stole their land, that they used that chance to shoot at them, but overall? D doesn't really link up well with a/b/c, but was not only instanty abused by the Israel regime to justify their mass murder, they also added to it with the beheaded babies and raped women. Seeing the clear murderous extremism of that regime, it wouldn't be any surprise at all if that regime knew about the attack - and added to it, to abuse it to justify what they do now. This was totally fit to how such regimes acts all the time.
