  1. No, it doesn't. That's just insane to stop research in a desperately needed field because someone abused it. Humankind canceled evolution with medicine and all the other technology. This means we WILL indeed degenerate further - or we take it in our own hands and keep going on that path we choose. Don't forget: evolution works via mass murder, it's a constant death game to get rid of those who are ill, weak and so on for whatever reason. Clearly not a good method, but the only one nature offers.
