  2. No, there was zero chance for it to ever be not stupid. Something like this can work in a completely different scenario, for example an actual stalemate with both sides struggeling, in that case a distractiojn like that can have success. But if your side is the only one struggeling while the other has gigantic amounts of reserves, it's simply just suicide.
