IMO - and overall without knowledge of details it will always be a guessing game, even moer because the core point of tactic and strategy is to not be easily to see through (which means, that the Russians likely have several layers of how the can act and react) - Russia used those up to 500.000 addtionals forces to make a fortress out of the Donbass and southern region and from there takes its time to grind down anything in front of it. It's the most obvious thing to see and because it looks so small and little makes certain people guess, that Russia just can't do more. Of course the majority of power if still just resting there and the worst thing you could do is to try to storm that fortress. Russia got no reason to risk anything. It could sure push forward, but this would raise the cost in equipment and lives for no additional gain.

Russia got casualties because in a war of that size it's simply not possible to have none. Even mass murderous US military with giant bombing campaigns against a third world country mainly armed with rifles and a mortar here and there got casualties. But the defense of Ukraine is shit. Their losses are desasterous and absolutely pointless, because while it takes time to destroy the army of an insane country that is throwing away the lives of a whole generation of men plus NATO fascism behind it that keep pumpin billions in weapon into that burning shithole, it doesn't lead anywhere. Russia could brutally crush all this, but for what should they cause more damage to both sides, when they can take their time? Russia made a fotress out of Donbass and is bombarding the Nazi regime from there.

Uuuuuh, if you want to swarm an area with (cheap) drones, a single ECM unit can counter them all, it's not like they have to target them, they just need to disrupt the signal. And if you give them a straight path - okay, where? 50.000 sounds like a lot, but Ukraine is a big country, and if they are unguided dummies, it will be just the same as having 50.0000 artillers shells blindly shot at a region. The whole idea sounds more like from a stupid movie, than a real plan. May it cause damage? Sure. Way more likely to civilians than the military.

@lolsilesia The thing is, Russia does not caer what the stupid on the other side say. They got massive surveillance including via satelite. Not compareable with Saddam Irak, which was a western puppet in these days anyway, used against the Iran.

@Thermopylae2007 50.000 sounds like much, but it's overall just worse than actually shooting those artillery shells at the target. They may have a big longer range, but are way more easy to interecept, because slower and of course you can mess with the drones. 50k artillery shells delivered via drone, well, 50k are shot every single day. And those drones can't be guided, it would be extremely easy to counter that with ECM if they need any signal and you don't need to target them, that's an area effect. They can just make them all crash.

@daarksideyt Against modern weaponry, it does not really make much of a difference what tank you got. Anti tank weapons will cut through them. Leopards are nothing special. And western stuff tends to break way faster and is much harder to repair. German military is a giant joke, everything is falling apart all the time and that without mud and all.

@peterflohr7827 You don't get it, kid. Russia does not WANT to destroy Ukraine. They could easily burn it to the ground, but in contrary to NATO and its Banderas puppets, Russia no mass murderous monster and enemy of humankind. The reason Ukraine is burned to the ground is 100% the fault of NATO and these Nazi puppets. Russia is taking its time and focusses to keep its own losses and the destruction of Ukraine at a bare minimum, especially in west Ukraine, it does not want to have, so West Ukraine will have to see how they get their things together with their massive debt, corruption, the Nazis and being a chained slave of the west, which will give a fuck to rebuild it. Russia is already rebuilding the Donbass.
