IMO when I look at fiction in general and more specific regarding bad war fiction and about good vs evil (not talking about fairy tales and alike, which are written as metaphers), they are stupid on purpose, because it will make make the plebs sensibe to stupid war propaganda. They are more likel to eat such stupid propaganda, because, hey, they saw that before in these movies or in this game or read it in this book.
