  2. An offensive got no worth on its own, in contrary, an offensive if something that only costs so if you don't have a worthwhile goal AND can keep it save, it's just a stupid waste.

  3. It's easy to just run in, this is mostly empty area. Those line aren't fortified wall or whatever, it's simply a line making clear, that behind it you are in the territory that is dominated by the other sides firepower. So you can just run it, easily. It's just suicidal.

Always funny this idea of "breaking through", as if that line on the map would be some kind of wall you just have to get over somehow and then you are free too go - and not a line behind which the fire power you face increase exponential and you quickly get obliterated. There is nothing 'decisive' for Russia there. In contrary, for Russia it's perfect when they come out of the hiding behind civilians and make themselves easy targets. Only thing better would be, if they just give up, as they should have done 6 monthes ago.
