Those lines exist to slow down and make it impossible for smaller, lighter, faster units to just rush through. Heavy tanks can push them aside and other vehicles may for example fill up a ditch, but that still takes time and overall only creates one opening. And of course all this is under surveillance of hundreds of drones. Even more, when you go through such an opening, the only fat way back is again through the same opening. It's overall a trap and the real defensive line are many km behind anyway, with long range firing systems and of course drones and air force. To just go in there isn't hard. To survive it is.

Well over 80% of the Nazi army died in the east. Germany had near to nothing left in the west. People should also look at the numbers of civilian victims. It's very clear, that the German and Japanes Nazis went for genocide against certain countries and groups, in case of germany it was eastern europe and especially the Soviet Union. They did very little in comparison to France and UK for example.

@hornstein12 Scared? This is simlpy smart. Russia has a focus on keeping losses low and those of the enemies hight, what is... pretty standard, if you are not insane or whatever. Overall: warfare is not about territory. Territory CAN have strategical or tactical importance, but if not, it's more somethign you want to avoid. Russia went out of Kharkiv because there was no reason for them to hold that area and with falling back they massively shortened their frontline - which overall is already absurdly long, so you want to shorten it whenever possible. An Kherson was about the dam, the Nazis try tro destroy since monthes - and well, now did. If they would have stayed there and not have evacuated the majority of citizens, this would have been an even bigger disaster, especially for the civilians, even more when you look at how Bandersits with SS insignias commited warcrimes against people who were sadly dumb enough to stay, while not being on the "good" side of the Banderites.

@m.g.debruin8294 What have they left, that's the question. And most of it has only short range = easy victim for all the other weapon systems. Gepard for example got what range? 4km? So that one would have to drive with the tank to be of any use and even then will be out of range. What the Banderites got left is good enough for some surprise attack, but the frontlines got heavy surveillance.

Why? In contrary, it's more effectiv than ever. You are just not used to it, because the 'wars' of NATO fascism near to never go against armies and if those are still extremly underequipped. So, yeah, in that case just heavy genocide bombing against the country with hundredsthousands of dead civilians is of course enough. Thing is, not only does Ukraine have a much bigger army with all the billions in NATO support, Russia is also not as freaking evil as NATO and just slaughters them. If you would replace Russia with NATO, NATO would have brutally bombed all infrastructure in the very first weeks, with gigantic suffering and death tolls for the civilians.

@djkinetic2020 Well, yes, of course trenches alone are pointless. Those lines are also not defense by themselves. They are obstacles. They simply slow down and make quick and wide spread movement impossible. That's all. They aren't destroyed by these lines. The drones, air force, artillery and so on are doing that.

Those trenches are part of the main frontlines. They got air defense there and ECM, it's not easy up to impossible to work with drones there. The footage you see here and there is somewhere far beyond such lines - and you don't win a war this way. You just cause some pointless death with no strategical value.

@Jinke888 I mean, Ukraine lost when NATO pushed the coup 2014 and they let this happen. The sell out to the west alone was a desaster, the civil war they started made a bottomless abyss out of it. That they ignored the chance of Minsk 2 then finished it. But, well, that's how fascists are... there is no logic behind their insanity.
