  1. It's Harry Potter, not that the world makes any sense, so why not run around in Knight Armor. It's magical Knight Armor, just as magic does whatever it needs to do and is allowed at that point, without any clear rule. Hell, they got freaking time travel as a toy for students - what of course is never used by any bad guy. The moment you start to pick HP apart, you are quickly left with nothing, so better don't even start. And actually: since Hogwart is unsafer then a torture house in Saw, wearing Plate Armor is actually one of the most sane things from the whole series. (only slightly exaggerated)
