Thing is, in FF14 you got this awful shit with gathering. Especially in ARR I got likely 1000 hours of playtime alone from just standing around, waiting for those 72 minutes respawn timer...

@jolteonthecat It did not became good AT ALL. Square ruines it since SB. Brutally. They milk it, cut down content, cut down gameplay, while what is left is the usual copy/paste. Even the story became low level anime shit after HW, when they switched writers. ARR needed a lot of improvement, but it was just the start of the game and there were good chances for that. HW was better, even though it still got many probs, but instead of improving on those, they just did the usual Square thing.

@Jxyyyyyyyyyyf Majoriy of people give so much of a fuck about FF14, that they don't want to waste their time with the fanatic fanbase that brutally attacks any criticism. You for example just shit talk, you go not clue or deny the problems, you just personally attack, the typical cultist behaviour. FF14 gameplay was brutally cut down over time, the jobs more and more streamlined, the content cut partly by up to 50%, most of the content that stayed was copy/paste or a bad replacement of old content. Problem are not fixed, but abused, like the whole housing thing (they now added a lottery to it, to make it even more shit and of course you still have to pay them money to keep your house, even if there is nothing to do in game for monthes). The game needed WAY more servers since start (EU got 5%(!) and USA 10% of the servers of WoW plus no instancing, what led to many follow up problems and this since 2015), but Square is simply too greedy. All kind of bonus items the game got at start started to vanish and instead the cash shop grew and grew, just as the prices. The story became utter shit, a pure power fantasy badly copy/paste from other FF games and pretty much just raped into the form of this solely plot armor driven crap, that whitewashes warcrimes and massive genocide and hell-like torture in a disgusting way, reducing it to a black/white story with the warcrimes and genocide and torture on the WHITE(!) side. And so on. Even if you got no problem with all this, the idea that it got BETTER is ridiculous.

@pleasedontkillme1185 Let's see: Every brutal massacre and war crime you commit is ignored. Planetar genocide your goddess commits is ignored. Every single lie on your own side is ignored. Meanwhile everything the other guys do is sold as being wrong and evil, not matter how much reason is behind and even IF you aknowledge it, they still die, get murdered, lose, while the stor simply fixes itself like bad stories tend to do via plot armor. Overall the story is about a single person who thinks: everyone else suck, let's slaughter them all, cut their souls and the whole planet into pieces and torture them, this will make them good enough beings to be send to the end of space in an ass-pulled space ship and kick a planet eating bird girl in the face until it dies. And that's indeed it. This his not questioned at all. You just win, because it's fiction and a game and you have to win, else the game would end, there is no other reason. You never got an actual plan, you never got any idea what's going on, even the big finish is just: let's fly there and plot armor that thing to death as usual.
