  1.  @NerdlySquared  Coul have just put that breadbord on it, would be enough. Wouldn't have the air to even put it on fire. Or just take it away from the heat source, also enough. Just DON'T try to quench it with water, that could kill you.

  2. Just DON'T try to put it out with WATER. Just get it off the heat source and let it go out or if possible carry it outside to not smoke your house. If you got something to put on like a lid or that breadboard, you can do that, too, but in general as soon as you get it off the heat source, it will die pretty quickly.
