A battle pass is simply just additional content most games give you for free, especially the games you hate on (while you ignore the bad ones, in which they are indeed heavily P2W). So you literally spit on gratis bonus content. How stupid are you? Lootboxes are only bad, when there is massive gambling for real money involved, like paying 1 dollar per loot box for a 0,01% chance for a good item and whatever. If you just get free lootboxes for bonus stuff, that's again a nice extra. You guys just throw around with words like a retarded parrot. The fact alone that you praise a story RPG for being standard is so dumb. No story RPG ever got battlepasses or loot boxes and whatever. Because they are story RPGs. You play through the story and you are done with it. There is nothing more going on afterwards. In case of BG3 even less than in all others.

It already gets backlash for the overhype for obvious reasons, because peopel get that you lied to them. Funny how they never learn from that and fall for such ridiculous hypes over and over again. The reasons the numbers went up is people not having played through it yet and weekend. If you spend the massive amount of 70$ on a game, you kind of will try to play it, no?

@Bobbydota I'm fine with peopel liking the game (that's just taste, nor matter how shit the writing is), but all their hate against everyone else is disgusting and the overhype isn't just "I like this' it's "this is everyone's god from no on! Worship this pile of lazy crap, infidel!" - and that goes far beyond the acceptable and is extremely annoying, even more when these fanatics spit on all the far better RPGs by that.

Who would have guessed that advertising and hype trains work - oh, yes, everyone. It's actually far more interesting how low the numbers are for such a big franchise plus such an absurd overhype.

They, don't becasue they are an extremely lazy AAA developer who milk a franchise that is now hypeed by the parrots for what reason ever. The fact alone that they just cut 40% of the normal gameplay with the excuse "it's so hard to balance it", while EVERY SINGLE OTHER D&D stor RPG developer manages it just fine, is ridiculous. Many D&D videogames go even beyond that, add mythic/epic levels, additional systema and what not, so the opposite of pretty much cutting it in half. Hell, would be funny if for example Blizzard did that, maybe even trolling and telling that they will now do what BG3 did and so the whole upper 40% of gameplay with all levels and skills will be canceled, because "it's too much work to balance it" as excuse. They could also add, that people should "get the full experiene from the start" - means, you only get the game you buy and they will stop creating content for it afterwards, well, because that's what you people want, right? You don't want free bonus content, because that means, that you didn't get the "full experience". That's what you are saying. By the way: what you praise as fantastic is simply just standard for story RPGs. Since they are a one time experience if you don't just replay them, they of course don't have all the elements of multiplayer game which keep running and don't just end with the story line, so new content now and then is a nice extra. You are comparing swimming with car racing and cheer for swimming because it got so much water involved, in contrary to the greed car racers who have no water at all! How absurd.

@poggerz6567 And many, many, many, many others. BG3 is nothing special at all, in contrary, it's one of the worse story RPGs. They just overhype and by the sounds not even because they like the game so much, no, they just want to hate on everyone else. Well, fine for them, but hell, I hope no one is listening to these retards, because what they want to see as standard is desastrous. Every single greedy publisher would laugh their ass off to sell games like BG3. Especially the part where they can just cut half the content over an absolute ridiculous excuse.

@pjrotsaert2832 Life service ist about servers and when you got those the costs hasn't really changed at all. Of course when you only got a lazy coop game like BG, that isn't even really coop, because you just share the control over the party, yeah, of course you don't need a life service. Publisher would love that, that's a hell lot of money they can save.

Will be "fun" when all the AAA developers learn from this and brutally cut down their games in half as BG 3 does (cutting 40% of the D&D gameplay in comparison to all the other D&D videogames), don't create more content after release, so the parrots can cheer about "having a finished product" (how stupid do you have to be to hate on free new content?) XD, and a lot of absurdly bad written sex scenes, including furries, scalies and tentacle sex and what else (so I guess that's what you coomer really like about it, cheap sex scenes and violence). I really hope they don't start to listen to you crybabies and haters, because that would brutally damage gaming. BG3 is a mediocre game and pretty much every single D&D story game (the only ones you can compare it to) are better in every regard. To make this the new standard would be a massive step backward and it doesn't matter how many of you crybabies don't understand that.
