I mean, you can stop at the start. If it was an attack, it was by far the absolut most stupid you could do. That ship was close to half a century old and borderline out of commision anyway. It played no active role in the offense nor defense, so getting rid of it or not made no difference. Even worse: attacking it means, that you did not attack a worthwhile target, so you wasted that one shot you got just to not change anything. So in the very first point you make you already show, that you got no clue what you are talking about.
