You do get that the WoW one is close to perfect in show don't tell. The crazy haters just completely ignore it. Anduin's face alone. Or later the moment when Arthas' soul fades, the face of Uther - hell, even the back of the head of Jaina. FF14 story is terrible at show, don't tell, in contrary. It's so awful that what it shows is often the opposite of what it tells. For example the whole "evil Garleand Empire". An evil empire would obliterate you and not hold back ALL THE TIME, even when you commit one warcrime after another. You can talk days about wht is wrong with the FF14 story telling, the character, the terrible lack of lore, the plot holes and retcons - and especially the whitewashins of warcrimes and genocide.

Scene was shit, though. It was random, came out nof nowhere, had no meaning at all, retconned a lot and just ignored it afterwards, had no build up and was followed by one of the dumbests shit in the FF14 story - what is not easy, since there is a lot of it.

Ridiculous, the FF14 one was shit and withotu any meaning. It also retconned the whole concept what happens when you die, what was never brought up again by the way. Ther releationship between the characters in FF14 was close to zero and them showing up was just super random.
