EVE is a dumb comparison. It takes ages to reach anything plus PvP being pretty much the main thing in the game and the brutal focus on 'clans' controlling whole sectors and alike. You can also just completely lose ships, so it's not like when you get something, that you gonna keep it. You may spend these 20$ and then it's just gone, blown up. Sure, you can play save, but where will you go with that? Absolute stupid to compare that with a game you can 100% play free in every way without any problem from start to end and only idiots care about ranking in it, when it's obviously that you either got the usual close to endless Diablo grind or must spend a lot of money on it. Diablo was never about that you have to reach BiS. You can, if you got nothing else in your life, sure. But that's just sad anyway.
