It's quite normal that in case of an aggression from outside, that people tend to not take risks and stay with the old, that is something that is abused in the west often enough, when they scaremonger.
In case of Russia, it's not Putin that creates that threat, but the west, constantly, openly talking about how Russia must be punhished up to destroyed and that after centuries of tries to do just that up to genocidal mass murder.
The only time where a threat from the outside will create backlash for the government is when the citizens got reason to blame that government for it but either a) being the reason for that threat (and even then they might stay with them) or b) seen as too weak, what generally leads to them going for a much more brutal government, so they would vote for someone who comes up with just stomping Ukraine into the ground and going much harder on NATO.
We can be glad, that Russia stays with a peaceful Putin instead of going for that, like our stupid western citizens tend to do...

@joseafonso7668 You simply don't hold a scout position, for what? If the enemy attacks there in force, you fall back and let your actual frontline which is FAR behind that scout potion, handle it.
People really seem to think, that that colored area on the map are some kind of fortified frontlines, where the armies directly look at each other and if one manages to get into the other colored area, they just broke through this army. In reality, you can just go there, that's no the problem. The problem is, that the further you go, the more barrels are targeted at you.

The compareable part is, that in both cases the coup regime pumps endless amount of money and people against a wall, withotu any care, tactic, strategy, nothing.
Wagner wasn't never the main part of anything beside media attention.
Overall it seems pretty clear, that Russia didn't like the aggression Wagner put on display on media and on the battlefield, partly seemingl mimicking the insanity of Ukraine regarding their recruits (what feels a bit like that this was about money: they get paid for their mercenaries, when those mercenaries die, Wagner keeps the wage they would have to pay... - wouldn't surprise me).
Russia still does not seem to care to hold Bakhmut nor did they care much to conquer it. For what? It's ruins anyway and was a perfect trap for the Nazis, who kept coming and coming and coming.
Likely the reason they let Wagner do their shitshow on the field and on media, because they kept the idea going, that Bakhmut was something extremely important and the Russian army got horrible losses in their desperate try to take it. What was completely wrong, but war is deception...
The whole focus on Wagner is a good example for that.
What is Wagner? At best some good fighters (what will count only for a fraction of them and for sure not for those ex prisoners), but not many and their equipment can't hold a candle to what the Russian army got.

@tranbaohoangvu9464 NATO was NEVER about defense. NO ONE on this planet gives a single fuck to conquer Europe or the USA. NO ONE. NATO was ALWAYS an alliance of aggression against the rest of the world, especially against Russia and China, those two are the main obstacle in the way to US world domination.
Of course thise never worked out.
The idea of the USA after 2.WW, which was awesome for US fascism, was to repeat it, so to use all the stupid NATO cannonfodder to make Europe and Asia burn again.
The problem was, that neither China nor Russia are retarded, so both made clear that it NATO does anything like that, they will kill the USA first.
That's why it ever went there, but they still really, really, really want to do it. So they try to push it as far as possible, hoping to reach this situation with them staying in their usual safety at home.
USA can't take a hit. Take 9/11. It went nuts about something that was NOTHING in comparison to all the mass murder and burn down of nations it commited worldwide.
USA couldn't handle to be attacked at all.

@seanniemeyer5437 You miss the point and that on purpose.
The military got no problem, since they got several other ways and Crimea itself got a a big military HQ there anyway, so it's not like when you cut off Crimea from Russia via the bridged, that you could storm Crimea, no chance for that, especially because Russia is still right next to it and today missile range - as shown again - has no problem to hit targets even at the western border of Ukraine and can of course also defend Crimea PLUS all the miltiary that is stationed there anyway.
When it comes to the frontline, those are easier to reach witout Crimea anyway.
The impact is close to zero.
When it comes to hitting Kiev and Co, that's about military infrastructure and the support of it. The influence on the military capacities is massive while how many civilians died (and by the video proof that was mainly by intercepted rockets or even failing air defense, since the explosions are way too small or obviously from a crushing = intercepted missile) during these attacks?
The truck bomb killed seven civilians. Which was just one explosion and since it is a truck you could pinpoint detonate it where you want, so the dead civilians were on purpose, not even talking about the driver they just tricked into it.

@Reinhard_Erlik No, we don't. Germany never ceased to be a Nazi state, we simply adapted to the circumstances and now the Führer is of course US fascism and our country just one of many disgusting little soldiers for it.
The USA kept most Nazis in germany in power and career - while the enemies of the Nazis were fought and oppressed.
After 2.WW not the 'new' 'ex Nazi' parties were forbidden, because those were good little muppets of US fascism, but those partie forbid the communist party, mainly for demanding consequent human rights (no surprise there, since communism is just that, following the general human rights, you do that, you got communism).
Of course fascists hate that. The idea that everyone got human rights is the most disgusting thing they can think of. Like telling a slave owner, that he got no right to own slaves.
