The first mistake is to think that the USSR collapsed. Russia didn't want all these eastern Europeasn countries from the start and only hold them as blockers. The collapsing part is at best the process, which did not work out as clean as it should - and NATO has its part in that, too.

No, they redrew because the Nazi and NATZO started to bombard the dam and later destroyed it. When the attacks on the dam began, the risk was too high and they were right to not take it and evacuated Kherson city. With the civilians in safety anyway, there was no reason to fight from a very disadvantaged position. That 'retreat' was the worst that could happen for the Banderites, who were slaughtered with the Russian at that disadvantage. After the retreat the river became an advantage instead, so it just got way worse for the coup regime.

@Warren_Peace They are not even diverting Russian assets from other front, since the whole build up Russia followed with the partial mobilisation was to man the whole front, including additional backup, so it wouldn't matter where NATO's Banderites attack. The diversion idea could have worked before, when they only got limited manpower in, not after the tripled it.

@hermitoldguy6312 War is about power and wealth. And no other country is as wealthy as Russia. Distanced played a massive role during the centuries, sure. Else 'we' would have attacked Russia and the rest of the world even more.

Russia does not care about PR, while it is the main thing that NATO/Banderites got. They focus on somethin that has in the end zero military impact: selling videos to clowns on the internet. The video you see on the internet are maybe 1-5% of the war.
