You can literally just look on the map to see how stupid the idea is, that Russia would use Crimea as main route for the southern areas. Russia border via landroute is simply much closer and easier to use.

What key targets even? They damaged a landing ship that plays no role in the SMO and a small submarine, both in the dry dock for repairs so they damage somethin that was aleady out of order anyway and likely mainly hit it because Russia didn't think about that they would be so stupid to waste the few shots they got on such pointless targets. Same for the Moskva. People still bring it up, but Moskva didn't even take part in the SMO and is an almost half a century old ship, borderline out of commission in general = an absolute pointless target. Overall. All the missiles used by those Russian warships (and none of the active ones was ever taken out by any missile or drone) can be fired just fine from land, too. Russia does not even need the ships. So even if you force them to stay back with the Navy because it's too risky or whatever, this changes nothing.
