  1. Big problem in the Russian/China relationship has suerely been the fear that one would betray the other. Afterall: China could of course need the land and the resources of Russia, so Russia feared that they might strike some deal with NATO and so on. Decades later without that happening and both countries out of the dangerous zone they were in after 2.WW, those fear do not have a basis anymore, even though of course NATO still loves to push it, but this does not work, it's too obvious.
