  1. It's all of it. Russia pushed for Ukraine following Minsk 2 = peace, for years. Kiev gave a fuck about it and main reason for that was also NATO. NATO sits in Ukraine since start of this conflict (and before), it's a NATO proxy war going on there and Russia knows this since start. It still hold bck and tried to solve it with talks, knowing, that a solution via violene would of course be ugly for everyone and terrible for many in Ukraine. But what shall you do, when the other side does not want to listen? When the other side WANTS the war. Just let them win and accept everything coming with it, including the mass murder of many thousnds and displacement of millions?
