@carrie893 You could swap to potassium salt. Potassium is the counterplayer to sodium and overall extremely important for pretty much everything in your body, because it for example regulates the hydration level of the cells and that from inside.
It also leads to lower blood pressure.
Overall it's quite hard to eat enough potassium, because you need 4g+ of it every day and while some of it is pretty much everywhere, it's very rarely in high enough dosis that you reach those 4g.
Funny enough, chips got high potassium (because potatoes are and chips with most water taken out of them go up to 1,2g per 100g chips). But that's of course not healthy at all, since you would still need over 300g of those to get close to the 4g, what would be the kcal of ~2 Pizzas.
Potatoes on their own got ~400mg, what isn't even bad, but well, that's 1kg potatoes, obviosuly also not something you can eat every day.
Soja beans are extremely high in potassium and 300g per day would be enough. Overall it's a good question if asians seems to be more healthy because of that, since they got more soja (and fish for omega 3) in their diet.
