Overall coup regime Ukraine is long time dead, it's the constant infusions from NATO which still make it move, but this is just grinded down, and NATO is bleeding out, they can't keep that coming, while Russia could hold up that low, effective level for half eternity - though since it's clear, that NATO can't do much more and will likely just go fo terrorism now, you got these 300k which will secure the new areas and alike...

It's not. Bakhmut is important, even crucial (btw ESPECIALY for the whole Ukrainian army), some empty area in the north is not.

Bakhmut? Doesn't matter there. The city is crucial for the whole position of the Ukrop army in the Donbass. Losing this is not compareable at all with some unimportant towns elsewhere.
