@esense9602 First lesson: this is not a videogame or sports. You don't just have a match, put everything in and the winner takes all. What you lose in reality regarding troops and equipment is gone. Area meanwhile goes nowhere, doesn't matter to give it up and it's stupid to waste your army to gain it.

What are they losing? Area gains of Ukraine don't matter at all. When they move, they are easier targets. Their 'conquered' area has to be defended now, what is much harder than from all their bunkers they build up in those years. People think the whole thing is a like a videogame, where you simply build new units with money you just pull out of thin air, but that's not how reality works.
