@derrickstorm6976 Well, good luck masking the noise of a tank...

While this one looks worse, it's a smarter solution, because the Maus was FAAAAR too heavy.

A hit that make ammunition in the tank explode will kill the crew anyway. Guess what: humans are squishier than tank shells.
6
@LeroxYT The tanks at the front are mainly there to draw attention, force the enemy into reaction and at best survive. It doesn't really matter much if they can shoot or not, in comparison to the fire power all the artillery, bomber and co got, a tank is a weak hitter anyway.
4
You can see a tank anyway, especially when doing such missions, so profile doesn't matter at all, especially not when the tank itself isn't bigger. Damaging those added plates around it is doing nothing. And when you hit the tank, the plating will absorb energy and force the warhead to explode sooner, messing up a lot with the process that should destroy the tank.
4
It will obviously force mainy anti tank weapons to explode prematurely and will always take energy from the attack. Attacks against tanks are no certain success and everything in between will lower that even more.

"cope" is a word mainly idiots on the internet use to sound smart, while yelling loudly that they are not.

@robertwatson3400 You do get, that the coup regime part of Ukraine doesn't see that as an insult at all, because they praise the Ukrainian SS of 2. WW as heroes. That scandal with the guy in canada? Guess what: the coup regime honored him even more, afterwards.
3
The thing is, the more you push your enemy when it comes to stopping these assault tanks, the better you can observe = strike and destroy them. What is the sole purpose of these attacks. You don't conquer an area with a 2-3 tanks and some infantery. If you take infantery with you, it's again to keep pushing the enemy and for further suveillance of the enemy and forcing them to move or at least react. You don't even see the real threat in general, which is the vast amount of artiller, aviation, missile systema and alike. Overall you mainly see 1% of this war on the internet and that 1% is domination by the drones, since it was the coup regime in Ukraine mainly got left and the use that for PR victories.

Extra armor is always good if there are no drawbacks. In regard of tanks this is mostly weight, but this extra armor isn't heavy. ATGSMs are by the way no wonder weapons which automatically destroy a tank if you fire at them and even if they it doesn't mean that it has to destroy the tank. And every little bit can change that.

@obsidianjane4413 Too bad there are tenthousand others and when you are forced to focus so hard to stop one unit, that means you reveal yourself and guess what will follow. You people simply don't get what these assaults are for...
2
Those assaults mainly are done for agitating the enemy so you can observe and strike them. The more the enemy has to do to stop your asault unit, the easier it becomes to get their position and strike them. Those assault units are not made for conquering much and them making it out undamage is a bonus, not the goal.

@gae_wead_dad_6914 Ah sure, when you take energy way from something and disperse it, it become more powerful, what else. The cages are cages becaus you can see through a cage.
2
@AnkurFFM Kid they literally pin point destroy whatever they want over all Ukraine. And when you watch videos from Ukrop Nazis offensives and their vehicles in full speed just get obliterated, yeah, they got no problem to hit targets. What by the way HIMARs isn't even able to do well, hit moving targets.
2
@justnsaliga8518 Kid, it's fine that you have absolutely no clue, but why open your mouth?
2
A selling point is likely, that it can cover quite an area. Or when you got terraint where it is hard to dig in mines, but easy to hide one of those. Overall mines are quite a mess anyway and should be used rarely if at all...
1
That's the main points of those tanks anyway. They role in to force the enemy into action, the drones and so on spot the enemy and bomber, artillery, missile and drones do the attack.
1
Tanks are outdated anyway, They serve the role of "bullet catcher" still for such provoking assaults, but beyond this they got little meaning.
1
@michaelccozens Russia got hell lot of tanks. The numbers the notorious liars of the coup regime deliver are made up and far beyond reason and truth.
1
Tanks lost their importance a long time ago. Their firing range is simplay way too short. Range is everything in warfare, today more than ever. What is left for the tank are such suicide missions to force the enemy into action - so all the other forces can strike against them.
1
Anything that absorbs energy and covers up the target what makes it harder to hit weak point helps. And AT weapons are failing a lot to kill tanks. Extra protection just adds to it. You fall for propaganda, that only show you the success, not the 95% failure.
1
Russia has the most resources on this planet. Why do you think NATO tries to pillage it over and over again...
1
@RaV591 He's a Nazi, no surprise.
1
@bladfadsfblaadsfsadf900 Tanks near to never fight other tanks. How should a single tank exploit a break through? You people live in a video game 'reality'.
1
@Destroyer_V0 You do get that Russia got an absolute superb logistic? Hell, even Ukrainian soldiers say that - of course not the PR clowns you listening to, who mainly talk BS to trick idiots.
1
@Rendzio You want humankind to die?
1
@JohnWick-stardawg There is a way more obvious reason for that, though, than the magical appearance of hundreds of artillery units out of nowhere.
1
With what? Their military industry is blown to pieces. Why do you think around 40 countries have to pump a sheer endless stream of weapons and machinery into Ukraine...
1
@Antony Golayda Wher exactly does NATO get their chips from? Oh, right, Asia. Also: 1. For military hardware you rarely need the most high class chips. 2. If you do, that's not good. Military stuff tends to break pretty fast if not made for just one use only. To waste high level chips isn't smart at all. Look at the drones used. Super effective and super cheap.
