  1. Saw an idea once, where you pretty much got the typical pumped-storage system combined with a weight (like a cork), what per se seemed to be a better idea than this nonsense. Withough giving it all too much thought, it will still likely have quite some probs beyond the mere theory, when it comes to stuff like seals, which would likely need to resist way too much pressure to work and many others. Question again would be, why not just use water...

  2. Seems to a abig problem of so called 'scientist' and 'engineers' these days, that they live in a video game world, where you just need a model and click the 'indestructable' button.
