If you storm into weapon range of the enemy, you are not doing an effective counter offense at all, you just follow a suicide mission. It's easy to just go there, as easy as jumping from a cliff in the mountains. Surviving it is the problem. And to actually take that territory, it's not about going into a village, you need to destroy or push back all the weapon system which are the reason that it is territory controlled by the other side. Some empty houses do shit.
