  1. Never was. NATO was created by the USA to bind European and other countris to it as cannonfodder to repeat the great success of 2.WW for it. The idea was to burn down Europe and Asia via NATO again for easy looting, while the USA sits in oversea again, save from all the destruction. Of course Russia and China both made clear, that they would burn the USA to the ground first, no matter which of the NATO countries attacks them. That's why we got all the proxy wars now instead, it's as far as the USA dares to got (yet) to the risk to be nuclear annihilated. But as the fanatics they are, they got further and further...
