  1. Speed isn't that surprising. When you got two people fighting each other and one is superior in every regard, the other still might fight back for a while, especially when the superior one is holding back, but in the end the inferior fighter will run out of stamina and collapse. It's overall the same thing: they hold against it, was likely partly forced and Russia did not went for just break through and them, but exactly that outcome: that they run out of everything and collapse. This happens 'surprisingly' fast when compared with the defiance before that, but overall it's just natural - and also shows the inferiority, the inexperience quite well, when you waste your energy and resources like that. It's exactly what comes to mind when they cheer about "counter offensives". A counter offense got no worth itself. In contrary: it's costly and dangerous. You should only do it, when you can reach something important and at least(!) equal worth (though in that case you should still likely not do it, regarding the danger, what can make the outcome worse than you hope for) with it and of course are also able to keep it. All their propanda seems to have make the Ukrainian leaders believe, that this is just some show or game.

  2.  @davidlazarus67  Looking at how they seem to be unable to learn since YEARS, it seems all experience gets lost via death or deserting all the time and they just throw cannonfodder at it. Partly not even sure, if they just want to get rid of as many people as possible in Ukraine. Overall: killing many (poor) people IS a quite nice solution for many plutocratic problems. If they were certan to get away with it, they would likely get rid of at least half of humankind if not more.
