The case with Melnyk in germany was, that he openly denied on a youtube blog "Andrij Melnyk, Botschafter der Ukraine - Jung & Naiv: Folge 580" (only german, though), that Banderas and alike were fascists and that they are indeed heroes. While he was hard to hold as an ambassador that why (because overall that goes in direction of Holocaust denial what is a crime in germany), it's not like our government and even less media cared THAT much about it. Yeah, sure, he better should go back to Ukraine now (where he was promoted!), but for example even our main stream media still love to quote that man in not in a bad way at all.
