@homeguardster Fanatism, especially blind fanatism, does not help you, it destroys you.

@redscope897 You don't get how modern warfare looks like. What you see on a map is no defense line or a wall or alike, it's the line behind which the firepower targeted at you brutally increases. They simply ran into a kill zone. That's around as hard as jumping from a cliff. It's not hard to jump. It's hard to survive it.

@homeguardster Ukraine is down on the ground since monthes and only hold up by NATO who for some resason wants to see it utterly destroyed. But it even just bleeds out NATO. It can't hold this up for years, no matter how much money they print.

@martinbartosik2440 You mean as long as you think like in a videogame, where your units just respawn or you endlessly buy new ones, hm? Reality does not work like that. At all.

It's simply a disaster. Absurd who people can ignore how terrible this is.

@blue_diamond_gem How? They started with hundredthousands of soldier and many more were forced into service by the fascistis regime. Over the last monthes they lost way more than those 15k. Why should they collapse now from 15k?

Starting with a lie, since the War in Ukraine started 2014 - and even the current scenario started February 16, when the Ukro Nazis started their final attempt to finish the genocide in East Ukraine.

Well, USA is used to slaughter people who got almost nothing above some rifles and a mortar. So not surprise they got no clue at all how to fight an actual war.

@littlejool5 Please got on talking like that, it's good for the facts when the propaganda is so stupid.

@danl5592 It's their whole build up. They got a brutal attack force line a good way behind the actual front and just some 'watchers' and smaller units actually at/clost to that front line. If there is a big income, those small units fall back and the actual attack front is crushing the attacker having to move into range. It's simply a good way to make attacking our actual main force pretty hard, since for actual attack on it, the enemy has to move their heavy equipment into the area you control. And no: just moving there does not mean that you control the area. If you want to control an area you have to be the one who dominates it with your firepower. If the other side does, you are simply in for a very bad time.

@carls2170 That's obvious, the numbers of casualities alone is telling that it's an absolute disaster for the poor Ukrainians being send into certain death by their fascist leaders of coup regime and its NATO masters. It's disgusting. Even if you are willing to count that as conquering some area, it's close to nothing and at such terrible cost.

The minimum success of a counteroffensive would be to get Kherson. Everything below that is nothing and when you cash in the losses for way less than that, it's simply a desaster. Not that either the coup regime nor the NATO Nazis would care about it.

They would have to conquer the actual city if you want to call it succesful in any way. And they are not even close to that while the loses already are so high that even conquerin the city would make it a very questionable success. What again: they are not even close to.
