NATO membership for Ukraine was always out of question, at best if Russia would indeed have done nothing at all and they could just make Crimea a NATO front base, then and only then but of course the idea alone is absurd. And what does Trump get from it? He gets nothing from further sinking endless billions in this hole, that's the problem. He wants 'his' money back, so for him the best case would be that the war stops and the USA can pillage as much as possible from the remaning fishbones which are western Ukraine.

  2. That "being a friend of the USA is lethal" is not about something that Trump is doing now, but what Biden and Obama did. "Friend" = proxy = you are cannonfodder for them.
